In handciaps over 1m at Ripon there is a distinct draw bias to the first 5 stalls. Horses drawn in stalls 1 to 5 win 52% more races than they should and since 2006 you could backs all the runners in these stalls for a 29 points profit to SP.  That would be 28 winners from 190 runners. In contrast horses drawn in stalls 6+ have won just 3.3% of these races with just 10 winners from 305 runners.  This is 49% lower than expectations. NOTE: We use the Proform research tool to look at this specific draw example.  It took just 3 minutes to find the data and of course we can do this for all the race courses and distances in UK and Ireland using Proform.
